Clawrez is one of the aliases I use online, along with kevlar and ZiKK. Clawrez is my primary
identity online and in my music, and is also the name of my main fursona. Her design has gone
through a few
iterations, and the only art I have of her current design is renders I have made of her VRChat
avatar form.
The name "Clawrez" was created at a friend's birthday party. We were playing Jackbox, and each
round, I was coming up with random names that sound like utter jibberish. One of these was "Klorez".
Later on, out of pure impulse, I decided to create a fake persona online that used the username
Klorez. The lore of this character led to them becoming a furry, and changing their username to
Clawrez. I grew jealous of this character, stole the username, and killed them.
MUSIC
I began producing music in 2016, where I would create tracks using Apple Loops on the mobile version
of Garageband. These tracks were unoriginal and consisted entirely of samples and loops that I did
not create myself.
I only started to compose my own music in 2019, which was around the same time I discovered hard
dance genres.
I took a keen interest in speedcore, which is what I began originally producing. Over the years, my
taste in music has evolved (albeit within hard dance subgenres). After speedcore, my favourite genre
was terrorcore. After terrorcore, it was industrial hardcore. As of writing this, it is xtra raw
(extra raw hardstyle), along with industrial hardcore.
I used to run a net label called LUX MARBLE, which I founded in 2021 with my friend Celerium. I
wanted it to be a platform for smaller DTM producers to put their music out, whilst allowing the
entire discography to be as accessible as possible. This meant distrubuting it to as many platforms
as possible, as well as providing free download links on the website.
In July of 2024, I made the decision to retire the label, as the style of music I originally made it
for did not align with what I wanted to create at the current time. In reality, however, I think
this is a lie I told myself and everyone. I don't really know why I retired the label, it was quite
an impulsive decision.
In 2022, I began attempting to develop my first game with JavaScript. This would be a poor excuse of
an incremental game called "Chōshi Incremental" (I'm pretty sure it was the first one, anyway).
This game consisted of a button to gain points, a button to die (which was the first reset layer),
and a button to "Chōshi", which the functionality of was not implemented.
Ever since then, I have been battling with my horrendous executive dysfunction to further my
development skills, producing a myriad of unfinished games. Some notable ones include: "VNGI" - a
game about increasing the version number, "rarity toy" - a game about rolling to get more rarities,
and "Karyofox" - which is still being worked on, as of writing this.
I've always been somewhat obsessed with iconography and graphic design. Back when I was 9 or 10, I
had an iPad Mini 4 that I installed several image manipulation applications on. One of these was
called "Adobe Photoshop Fix". This app had a content-aware feature reminiscent of the one on the
desktop Photoshop app. I would take screenshots of different pages of my home screen, and would
alter the icons in some way. I would then come back to these images months later, and try to guess
what I altered about each app icon.
When I ran a YouTube channel (from 2015 to 2020), I used MS Paint, then Canva, and eventually
Photoshop to
create thumbnails for my videos. I think this is where I really introduced myself to graphic design.
After my YouTube era, I began creating renders of Fortnite characters in SFM, then Blender. I hope
you don't find any of the renders made before 2023, as they are embarrassing.
Currently, I create graphic design works every once in a while, usually of a square aspect ratio.
I've been especially fond of the "brutalism" style for quite a while. I have attempted to
incorporate this into my brand, although I seem to have quite an issue with consistency throughout
my social channels.
An industrial rawstyle EP with three incredible tracks, all depicting strong emotions that were felt
throughout the ideation and production of this EP.
OTHER NEW RELEASES
Due to issues with distributors being lame and stupid, only some releases are on Spotify. Almost my
entire discography is on SoundCloud. Full discography page coming soon. :3
